I have a 2018 Honda Ridgeline. I purchased a pop and lock system. I don’t really want to tie it in to the truck electric panel..I don’t want to voided Honda warranty or need the lock to activate everything time I get in an out of the truck. Is there a way to wire it to a switch, so I can lock and unlock it when I want to

Thank you for the purchase of the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 for your 2018 Honda Ridgeline. If you want to avoid wiring the tailgate lock into your OEM system on your Ridgeline then you can use the Switch Kit # PAL9520 to lock and unlock your tailgate.
You are actually protected by the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act when it comes to the warranty on your Honda Ridgeline. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have made to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
