The Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Davit Winch w/ Remote - 2,700 lbs # DL25032 can absolutely be used as a replacement for your Shelby 5353 which was rated at 2,500 lbs. You will need the Hand Winch Cable with Safety Hook 7/32" Diameter x 25' Long - 2,500 lbs. # DL24047 and I also recommend the Dutton-Lainson Winch Cover # DL24051.
This will be a really nice upgrade from your Shelby boat lift winch.
