Recommended 4-Way Trailer Wiring with 5 Wires

My trailer has 2 brown 1 yellow and brown 1 green and brown 1 white I need t replace flat 4 plug how do I reconnect wires

For your 4 way Flat connector on your trailer, I recommend the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Fix Replacement 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector w LED Test Lights - Trailer End # HM48192. Your description talls me you have a wishbone wiring on your trailer which has two running light wires (one to each side of the trailer) so that a jump wire from one side to the other is not needed across your trailer frame. The two brown wires (running lights) will connect next to the white ground. Then you will have the yellow wire (left turn and stop) and then finally the green wire (right turn and stop). I've attached an article to assist.

I have a 4 pin connection which got run over. I pourchased a 4 pin trailer connection which has the standard 4 wires. However the trailer has 5 wires. A white, a green, a green brown, a yellow and a yellow brown. The prior pin that was run over had 5 wires so it meshed with the trailer. My guess is that I connect the white to white, the yellow to yellow, the green to green and the yellow brown and green brown to the brown. Does this make sense? Or should i return the 4 pin with 5 wires for a 4 pin with 4 wires?

You are exactly right. Your trailer uses a wishbone wiring harness, which sends a running lights wire down each side of the trailer (a standard 4-wire setup uses a single wire that gets split towards the rear of the trailer). You'll just splice both the green/brown and yellow/brown wires to the single brown wire coming from the new connector. This is no problem at all.
