Is It a Good Idea to Lock Out Reese Revolution?

I have a 2015 Chevy crew cab with 6.5 ft bed and a 2018 Rockwood 8299BS 5th wheel. It has the Reese revolution hitch and currently using it so it pivots on the connection at the trailer not the king pin. I understand towing would be better if move the pivot point to the king pin. Can you tell me what the turning radius would be went back to lock out position? thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by towing would be better, but I do not see how that would be accurate or how moving the pivot point to the king pin would be an upgrade. At the very least you would need a sliding hitch with your 6-1/2 foot bed if you locked out your Revolution, though I strongly recommend continuing to use the Revolution as is.

There would be no way for me to know what the turning radius is though we do have a formula you can use:

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of 5th-wheel hitch jaw to truck cab in inches
B = Sliding Hitch Clearance
C = Width of trailer in inches divided by 2
