Husky Weight Distributing Shank To Give At Least 2 Inch Drop

Question:

We have a Husky 32218 . We switched tow vehicles from a Dodge Durango to a Chevy Tahoe, the hitch ball now sits two inches higher. When hitching up the trailer front is high, not level with the car. We tried lowering the lift bars to the lowest holes but that only corrected the trailer tilt a little. I believe we need a different receiver with a longer to lower the ball. Were looking at etrailer part ht30859 but it looks like the 13 1/4inch on that receiver will put the vertical shank of the receiver too close to the ground. Advice please!

The best application to even out your trailer with your car is the, Husky Weight Distribution Shank - 10" Long - 4-1/2" Rise, 6-3/4" Drop # HT31518. This shank will give you the additional 2" drop you need (see measurements). The shank on the # HT32218 was only able to provide you with a 1-1/4" drop.

You are correct about Husky Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches - 9-3/4" Long - 5 Holes - 14K Item # HT30859, it is too long for the application that you need.
