Replacement Leaf Spring for a 1977 Rockwood Pop-Up Camper

Question:
Hi, I have the opportunity to buy a 1977 Rockwood pop-up tent trailer, but it has a broken leaf spring. I’d like to try to find out how much it would cost to purchase replacements. I don’t know the model name or # of either the tent trailer or the springs. No pics available to me, either. Can you provide any information? Thanks!

A replacement leaf spring is relatively inexpensive and rather easy to install with just a bit of mechanical aptitude. In order to determine the correct replacement you would need to know the trailer's axle capacity which can usually be found stamped on the centerline of the axle. The length of the spring between the center of the two eyelet holes for double eye springs or the distance between the eyelet and knuckle for slipper springs. You will also need to know the width and bolt hole size. Please keep in mind that as leaf springs wear down over time they will lengthen which means the new replacement spring will likely be shorter than the one you have now. It is also recommended to replace them in pairs.
Once you can confirm the above information I would be happy to inform you of which one is correct for you. If not, I have attached our selection for you.
