What Are The Biggest Tires That Can Fit On A 5/10 Trailer?

I have a 5/10 trailer what is the biggest I can go on wheel and tires? Will a 15” work?

When choosing the biggest tire that can go on your 5 x 10 trailer, we will want to keep in mind tire clearance. The minimum distance between the inside of a tire and the frame rail depends a lot on the setup of the trailer but as long as the tire and the frame don't touch you would be fine. You should have at least 2 inches from the sidewall to the trailer and at least 3 or 4 inches from the tread to the underside of the fender. If you have that clearance than a 15" tire like # AM32418DX which has a section width of 8.1" and an outer diameter of 27.3", you should be fine.

You also need to take into account the bolt pattern of the trailer's hubs. A 15 inch rim will likely have either a 5 or 6 lug bolt pattern so make sure the trailer has the same pattern. If the hubs have a 4 lug then you likely won't be able to use 15 inch rims without replacing the hubs as well. The hub will also dictate the max/min wheels size.
