Will Trailer Hitch Cause 2018 Subaru Crosstrek to Sag?

will the addition of the Curt hitch 32lbs cause any suspension sag in the rear of a 18 Subaru CrossTrek prior to adding accessory/trailer load ?

The Curt # C13382 hitch itself weighs just over 35 lbs and will not cause your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek's rear suspension to sag.

Since you mentioned towing you will need a wiring harness to power your trailer's lights and I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467, which will give you a 4-flat connector. I have added a link showing this hitch and wiring harness being installed on an '18 Crosstrek for you to check out.

I also recommend taking a look at Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our page with each of our ball mounts as well as a video review of the ball mount kit.
