Replacement Key Needed for 10 Year Old Yakima 3-Nike Bike Rack

Updated 05/15/2018 | Published 05/13/2018

Question:

I can not find a number on the rack, I found a small strip of tape/paper inside the base at bottom, but can not read any number. The rack is one that s to clear the car so that the rear door can open. This rack is maybe 10 years old, but is still in very good condition.

If you have the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) installed in your bike rack then we actually wouldn't need to know your bike rack model.

Look at the lock cores on your bike rack and there should be a number. Once you know what your lock core number is simply type "Y8873-" into our search bar followed by your lock core number. For example, the Replacement Key # Y8873-053 is for lock cores that have "053" on them.

To change out your lock cores you can use the Yakima Same Key System # Y07202 which comes with 2 lock cores, 2 keys, and the change key. Once you received this kit you can use the method above to order any spare keys you might want to keep in a safe place.
