I have attached a help article on how to determine the rise or drop you need for a ball mount. Basically, you will want to park your truck and trailer on flat ground. First, measure from the ground to the top of the trailer hitch receiver opening. Next, measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler. If the trailer hitch receiver opening is taller than the bottom of the trailer coupler, then the difference between the two measurements is the amount of drop you will need in a ball mount.
