Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2013 Ford Edge

Question:

The factory hitch for the 2013 Ford Edge comes out of a cutout in the fascia. Many would probably prefer for your hitch to come straight out the back instead of being welded to the bottom of the beam. This would require cutting the plastic fascia, but that would be easily done and would give a much better appearance.

All of the available aftermarket trailer hitches for your 2013 Ford Edge do attach to the vehicle's frame to allow the receiver to sit just below the rear bumper, as you mentioned. The factory design does provide for a nice, clean look, but the aftermarket models do still feature a hidden design where only the receiver is visible from the rear.

For your Ford Edge, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75992. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle as long as it is not the Sport model and will provide you with a 2 inch receiver that is perfected for hitch-mounted accessories or towing.
