Question:

Do you have a folding hitch cargo carrier that fits 1 1/4inch receiver? Seems all the folding carriers are 2. I want to use with a C11132.

You are correct that folding hitch-mount cargo carriers are made only in the 2-inch hitch size. Your
2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser can only be fitted with a 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch like # C11132.

The flat cargo carriers we offer for the 1-1/4-inch hitch size, all shown on the linked page, are fixed (non-folding) types.

Among the lighter-weight fixed carriers is the Curt # C18145 which weighs less than 30-lbs. If you need to remove it from your hitch (since it does not fold) then a lighter carrier might be your best bet.

There are hitch expander adapters like # HTAD that convert a 1-1/4-inch hitch opening to a 2-inch but such adapters will cause you to lose half of the hitch's tongue weight capacity. In the case of a Class I hitch this means your total hitch capacity drops to 100-lbs. Adapters also allow for much more motion of the carrier since there is an additional connection point. We do not recommend using adapters in this type of application.
