Question:
My pin in my Break away Switch is frozen or stuck. This is preventing me from testing this system. Should I just replace switch and tie it into existing wire?

Yes, you can do exactly that; there is not a specific switch you'll need. For example, the Replacement Breakaway Switch for Trailer Breakaway Kits # 3802348 will work and you'll only need to splice it into your existing wire, as you mentioned. I've added a link to a video review of this switch for you to take a look at as well.
