Recommendation For Over-Under Conversion And Suspension Upgrade For Coachmen 5th Wheel

Question:

According to the axle tag on my Coachmen 5th wheel, I have Dexter 5200 lb, six lug, 3 inch axles. I'm wanting to do the axle under conversion and a suspension upgrade at the same time. What parts/kits do I need to order to get this job done? In the past, your advice has been spot on, so this is the first place I come to. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Based on your information, I recommend the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit, Item # K71-385-00. This kit works with 3 inch diameter axles and includes enough components for one axle. The kit will also help level out your trailer and provide some extra wheel clearance.

I have created a link to our selection of cushioned equalizers to help you upgrade your trailer's suspension. You will need to select equalizers that match the bolt hole dimensions of your current ones or as close as possible. If you are looking for upgrades besides equalizers then let me know what you are trying to upgrade and I will make specific recommendations.

If you are interested in a total suspension makeover, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension, Item # ASR5200S01. It provides a smooth and safe ride and eliminates the need for an axle. It is designed for axles with a 5,200-lbs weight capacity. With this system, you would increase ground clearance and experience a quieter and more level ride. This will also replace your entire spring suspension. I have attached a video that gives more information.

I have attached additional information to help out with our project.
