The wiring adapters that you asked about for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # 331-EBRH-ACCV2 will function the same though # 3031-S is the newer adapter and the one I recommend for your Redarc brake controller.

As for a weight distribution hitch, to choose the best system, you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2018 Toyota Tacoma.

To determine your trailer's loaded tongue weight you can use a scale such as the Sherline # 5780 or by using one of the methods outlined in the help article on determining tongue weight I've linked for you. From there, simply add on the weight of the cargo behind the rear axle of your vehicle and you'll have your TTW. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity. For example, if your TTW was 800 lbs a great system would be the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET which has a tongue weight capacity of between 700 lbs and 1,000 lbs.

I've added a link to our page with each of our weight distribution systems for you to come back to once you determine your TTW.

For a total tongue weight of 650 lbs I strongly recommend the Reese Strait-Line # RP66087 which has a tongue weight capacity of between 400 lbs and 800 lbs. The Strait-Line offers a unique design that uses a dual-cam system to prevent sway no matter if you are driving in a straight line, swerving or turning a corner.

I've added a link to a video review of this system for you to take a look at.
