Question:

Hello, I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I’m going to be installing a hitch with a ball mount to move a 5” x 8” U-Haul. I’m just not sure if I need the wiring with or without tow package?

You will need wiring on your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee to power the lights on the U-Haul, though I'm not certain from your question if you were saying you had the tow package or not. If you do have the tow package that means you have a 7-way connector on your Jeep; if the U-Haul had a 4-way connector you could add a 4-way to your Jeep with the T-One Wiring Harness # 118381 which simply connects to your Jeep's existing 7-way by plugging in.

If you did not have any wiring on your Jeep you would need to add a 4-way with harness # C55369, which also plugs in, so the installation is simple.
