Fitting Adapter Needed to Install Remote Derale Transmission Cooler in 2004 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I am purchasing this product to install on 2004 Chevy 2500 Hd to cool my transmission when pulling a huge fifth wheel what additional parts should I purchase to install ie hose fitting to bypass radiator and do I need a thermostat or is it built in ?

The correct fitting for installing a Derale transmission cooler in your 2004 Chevy Silverado is the part # D13018 to install the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D13960. This cooler has a thermostat as well.
You would want to route this from your current radiator's transmission cooler so that it goes through the factory cooler and then finally to this cooler. That is what the fitting allows you to easily do.
