If you already have a 4-Way Flat, like the Tekonsha T-One # 118450, installed on your 2010 Chevrolet Traverse then you will simply need to install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to add a fully functioning 7-Way to your Traverse. I have attached a video of this kit being installed on a 2011 Traverse that you can use as a reference.

The brake controller I recommend for you to use is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it has an easy-to-use LCD screen that eliminates the use of codes for operation and it has received countless positive reviews from customers. I have attached a video of the Primus IQ # TK90160 being installed on a 2010 Traverse that you can reference for the install as well.

As for a shank for your WD system, I have attached a link to our selection of shanks that you can filter through. All of the WD shanks that we have to offer can actually be interchanged as they use a standard measurement for the adjustment holes. I recommend making sure that the one you choose is rated for the same weight capacity as your WD system.

You will want to make sure that you have a WD system with a Tongue Weight (TW) range that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your towing setup falls in the middle of. To find the TTW of your towing setup you will need to add the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer.
