The Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16180 and the Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16265 are both fantastic hitches and extremely similar to each other. Both will provide a 25,000 pound towing weight capacity, an interlocking 2-Jaw system for a secure connection, and a 4 inch height adjustment.

The primary difference between the two models is that the A25 # C16180 is essentially an upgraded version of the Q25. The head on the A25 hitch is constructed of stronger material and addresses/resolves some of the potential issues that are on the Q25 with regards to head failure. I have attached a short video demonstration for the A25 on the 2016 Sierra 3500 that you can also check out.

For a custom rail kit on your 2017 Sierra 3500, I recommend the Curt # C16411-204. This kit includes custom-made brackets that will use existing holes on your truck's frame to minimize drilling and drastically reduce installation time. It is confirmed to fit your vehicle. I have included the written installation details that you can also take a look at.
