Why Does Curt Hitch For Toyota Corolla Require Stabilizer Strap but not Draw Tite

Why does this hitch require a stabalizing strap and the draw tight does not?

Expert Reply:

Curt requires the strap to provide extra support for when the vehicle goes over rough pavement or experiences a sudden shock like hitting a pothole. Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch feel that this isn't necessary with their hitches.

Because the strap is an extra expense, and because some vehicles just aren't well suited to using the strap, I'll usually recommend going with the Draw-Tite hitches.

So for your 2016 Toyota Corolla I would recommend the # 24913.
