Question:
Hello, I have a 33foot Catalina travel Trailer that has a tongue weight of 1,120 lbs and the camper itself weighs approx 9,000 loaded up. I have a Fastway E2 hitch that was recommended to me at the time of purchase that has a 1000 pound tongue weight Capacity and 10,000 pound overall weight capacity. It is definitely not cutting it as I have some serious sway issues. So, my question is since my camper has a tongue weight of 1,120 lbs and weighs approx 9,000lbs, should I get the Equalizer hitch with the solid bars and a 1,200 TW/12,000 GTW or go for an even higher weight capacity? Thank you for your time!

For the weight distribution system to be effective you will need to increase the tongue weight rating of it.
All you'd need to do is swap spring bars though since you have the rest of the system and it's the same. For that you'd only need the part # EQ90-01-1499. This will give you a tongue weight range up to 1,400 lbs which would be what you'd need for 1,100 lbs of tongue weight.
A 1,200 lb system would be too close to where your at to be as effective as needed.
