Question:
58393 reese and 66558 reese compatibility
asked by: Paul E
Expert Reply:
The Reese Pole-Tongue Adapter for Weight Distribution Systems - 14,000 lbs GTW, 1,400 lbs TW # RP58393 requires positioning on trailer tongue approximately 29 inches back from hitch ball. The Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66558 requires bracket positioning 25-32 inches back from center of coupler, so they will be compatible.
You will need a hitch ball with your weight distribution system. I recommend # 63845 for a 2 inch ball or # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball.
