does this harness just plug in to one side of my 2005 jeep grand cherokee tail light #118381 it did not come from factory with hitch Thanks.if not do you have one to fit.

The wiring harness # 118381 plugs into a connector that is behind the rear bumper. However, it is not confirmed to fit your Jeep since you don't have the factory tow package.
On your 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee you need # 118394 which plugs in on both sides behind each tail light. I've linked an installation video for you to take a look at.
Also, if you don't already have a trailer hitch receiver I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75338. It installs using 4 bolts. I've also linked this installation video.
I've linked our selection of ball mounts that will fit the 2 inch hitch receiver. You'll need to choose the one with the rise or drop that meets your trailer. I've also linked some articles including one to help you determine the correct rise or drop you need.
