Options to Raise a Trailer That Needs More Ground Clearance
Question:
We have a 2017 Coachmen Apex 28ft ultra lite travel trailer. This particular travel trailer is super low riding and we are having difficulties even getting into parking lots or gas stations without the danger of hitting our waste. My husband a plumber has been able to rework the waste in order to give us an extra 3inch but still it is not enough. Skid wheels dont seem to be an option with the very thin frame this trailer has. Do you have a suggestion for a shackle kit for this trailer?

It sounds like you're looking for a hanger kit to gain ground clearance on your trailer. I've linked our selection for you on this page. If you can tell me the width of your leaf spring, style (double eye or slipper), and the diameter of the bolt hole, then I can make a specific hanger recommendation for you.
If you have double-eye springs another way to raise the trailer is with an over-under kit. This is commonly known and flipping the axle because you will be moving the trailer's springs on to of the axle. We have over-under kits for 2-3/8 inch axles, # K71-384-00 and 3 inch axles, # K71-385-00.
One more possible option is a lift kit. If your trailer has a Torflex axle this might be what you need. I've linked this selection as well.
