You will most likely need a hitch cover that is compatible with 1-1/4 inch hitches, if your Equinox has a factory installed hitch on it. The best way to determine the proper size accessories to purchase is to measure the inside width of the hitch opening.

The Army hitch cover that you referenced, part # AUT2-ARMY-C, is compatible with 1-1/4 inch receivers. If you have a 2 inch receiver, then I recommend looking at part # AUT-ARMY-C. I have also attached a link to all of our Army hitch covers for you to check out.

You will also need a Pin and Clip or Receiver Lock to secure the hitch cover in the hitch on your vehicle. I would recommend the DeadBolt Hitch Receiver Lock, item # e98879, for a 1-1/4 inch hitch or the DeadBolt Hitch Receiver Lock, item # e98880, for a 2 inch receiver. The Receiver locks will help to prevent theft of your hitch cover.
