Can a Different Shank be Used with Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System
Question:
The Reese Steady Flex weight distr. system comes with a ball mount shank. Can other Reese shanks, of appropriate weight class, be used, so that the system can be matched specifically to my truck/trailer without having extra shank length hanging down low, or is the supplied one required because of its different geometry? Thanks.

You do not need to use the specific shank that is included with the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66561 referenced in your question. Many weight distribution shanks will be interchangeable with the Reese system. You will just want to match the vertical groove style of the included shank such as with the Reese # RP54998.
