Will this hitch fit a 2002 Silverado halfton with the 6 1/2 foot bed?

Curt E16 5th wheel hitch # C16116 comes with a universal installation kit that will fit your 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500LD short bed. However, since you have the short bed you will need to use a slider 5th wheel hitch in order to make tight turns without the trailer hitting the truck cab. The slider version that also comes with the installation kit is # C16616.
