Will Four 10.25Lx7.08Wx10.82H Batteries Fit in the MaxxTow MaxxHaul Trailer Tongue Toolbox MT80349

Question:

I am looking to put 4-6vAGM batteries into a trailer tongue box. Batteries are Trojan CG2 sized 10.25Lx7.08Wx10.82H. Will these fit in any configuration into the box MT80349? If not any suggestions? I will vent box and mount batteries. Thank you

I do have a solution for you, but the MaxxTow MaxxHaul Trailer Tongue Toolbox w/ Latch, part # MT80349, will not be able to fit your four 10.25Lx7.08Wx10.82H size batteries in it.

Since the MaxxTow toolbox has a height of 16 inches, an inside measurement of 14 inches for the width, an inside length of 33 inches at the longer end, and an inside length of 20-3/4 inches at the shorter end (see attached picture). You will only be able to fit 3 of your batteries along the longer end of it. Since the width is only 14 inches and your batteries are slightly over 7 inches wide, the width of the toolbox will not be able to accommodate your batteries.

The toolbox that you will need to use instead is the DeeZee Specialty Series Trailer Tongue Toolbox, part # DZ91716, which is 34 inches long at the back, 16 inches long at the front, 14-1/4 inches wide, and 18 inches tall. Since the width of the inside is 14-1/4 inches, you will be able to fit your 4 batteries in this toolbox. This toolbox does include hardware to install it, has a lock installed, and is made of aluminum which will not rust.

I have attached a few videos of these toolboxes for you to review.
