Where is Brake Controller Install Connector on a 2010 GMC Acadia
Question:
My 2010 acadia came with a factory hitch but no wiring . I can see anyplace to plug on into at all. Is there an easy way to wire a plug? 7 pin is there a harness I can buy to plug in somewhere. Like I said there is no where under the car to plug in. There is a farmable connector in the rear left compartment with just a cap in it. Has about 8-9 green wires coming out of it?. Thanks for your time .

The brake controller install harness needed for a 2010 GMC Acadia is the part # 3026-P. This adapter plugs into the 6-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
I attached a picture that points it out.
If you have a round connector under the rear of your vehicle and need a 7-way to plug into it the part # HM40975 will fit it. But you will want to make sure the pins of the connector are active when the taillight wiring is active. In the second picture I attached the connector on the left is what this is designed to attach to.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
