To install your Reese 16K 5th Wheel Hitch and Base Rails on your 2016 Ford F-250 diesel, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit # RP50026. This kit is custom fit for your vehicle to cut down on installation time and drilling. This will include the custom brackets and all the necessary hardware. I have included a video review of the product for you to check out.
Also note that with your 6-3/4 foot bed, sliding 5th wheel hitches like the Curt 16K # C16521 are recommended due to the clearance issues that are common with short-bed trucks.
Lastly, if you do not have one already, I also recommend a 5th-Wheel Wiring Harness like the Curt # C56000. Once installed, this will provide a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck for easy hookup with your trailer.
