Installing Under Bed Rails on a 2015 Ford F-350 With a Spray-On Bed Liner

Good Morning, Installing an under the bed 5th wheel hitch video shows removing the passenger side bed bolts and loosening the driver side bolts. I have a 2015 F350 with a factory spray on bed liner. Will I be able to get the bolts out with the spray on bed liner covering the bolts? Can the hitch be installed without removing the bed bolts? Thanks!

When installing an Under Bed Rail and Installation Kit, like # RP30126, on the 2015 Ford F-350, the bed does need to be raised on that passenger's side. Raising the bed is the only way of allowing enough clearance to slide the 5th wheel rails between the frame and bed of the truck.

Removing the bed mounting bolts is possible even with your spray-on bedliner. Using a T50 Torx bit and a long breaker bar or impact wrench will allow you to break the bed bolt loose. The bolt threads will not be impacted by the spray-on liner, so removal would entail getting the bolt loosen on the surface where the line is in contact with the bolt head.

I have attached an installation video and an article on 5th wheel installation for you to review.
