Hitch Extender Recommendation for 2013 GMC Sierra 3500 Towing with Camper that Extends 40 inches

I have a 2013 GMC 3500 with factory 2 1/2inch hitch and a truck camper that extends approximately 40inch beyond the hitch. I have a Curt 34inch hitch extension which is clearly too short so I am wondering about the best option for towing a 3,500# V-nose trailer with a short A frame so the trailer nose is close to the ball mount. I am considering using the Curt extension with a long shank 2x2 ball mount or the more expensive option of the longer Titan hitch extension. Could you provide a recommendation of the best safest way to go?

For a camper that extends 40 inches past the rear of the vehicle the Reese Titan Extender part # RP45018 that you referenced would be what you need. This fits 2-1/2 inch hitches like your truck has and has a 4k capacity when used in the longer 48 inch length or 5k when used in the 41 inch length.
I wouldn't recommend adding the variable of a long ball mount with a shorter extension when the Titan makes the most sense and will work well.
