Some gooseneck hitch fits for flat beds can have the ball sitting too low relative to the bed. This varies by brand and model of bed and the specific installation. We have Draw-Tite Fold-Down Gooseneck kit # 8339-4456 that is a confirmed fit on your base truck. If your flatbed height prevents normal bolt-on installation of this kit you can have steel plates welded between the hitch and truck frame to secure it. The hitch must be secured to the truck frame, either by the included hardware and brackets or by addition of welded steel plate 1/4-inch thick or more.
