Dimensions Of Weigh Safe Ball Mount With Built In Scale # WS8-2 And # WS10-2 For Needed Clearance

Product WS10-2 v WS8-2 to be used on a Mercedes SLE in the rise position to pull enclosed 12inch snow trailer. I need to be sure the bumper is cleared using the excess hitch length to protect the bumper when hooking/unhooking Discordant info from WS and eTrailer re: length from center of hitchpin out to the inside angle of the hitch4 1/4inch v 6 What is this length? I need a generous 4 1/2 to clear the bumper in the riseposirion. My other option is a short blue ox hitch extension.

On the Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale - 2" Hitch - 8" Drop, 9" Rise - 10K, # WS8-2, There is a distance of 8-3/8 inches from the center of the nearest pin hole to the center of the ball and 9-1/2 inches from the center of the furthest pin hole to the center of the ball. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rise, you will have 3 inches and 4-1/4 inches from the further pin hole.

On the # WS10-2 you will have the same measurements as the closer pin hole on the 8 inch model. For either option, I recommend using the Locking Dual Pin Assembly and Hitch Pin Set for 180 Hitch and Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mounts - Keyed Alike, # WS06, or at least a hitch pin lock like # BD580401 if you don't need the keyed alike option.

If you need a hitch extender, I recommend the Blue Ox Hitch Extender for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 6-3/4" or 8-3/4" Extension, # BX88265. Using an extender will reduce your hitch's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent.
