The Thule T2 Pro XTB 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Black TH9034 has been discontinued and the Thule T2 Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Silver, # TH9034XTS. are very similiar. They both have the same security, the same cradles, and the same tilting ability as well as expansion ability. They both can carry bikes with up to 5 inch wide tires. They simply have a different color with the XTS being silver and the XTB being black.

The differences are the discontinued TH9034 is the XTB model has 1-1/2 inches more distance between bicycles with a measurement of 12-1/2 inches and weighs 2 lbs more. It also has further side to side adjustability. This extra space further protects your bicycles. These better features won out and this rack replaced the other.

My recommendation based on the limited differences is the # TH9034XT for your application. If you want to expand this rack to carry 4 bikes, you will want to add the 2 Bike Add-On for Thule T2 Pro for 2" Hitches - Silver, # TH9036XT.
