Comparing Between the Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite Hitch for a 2009 Honda Fit

Question:

I am shopping for a hitch for my 09 honda fit. you have the Hidden hitch for approx. $82 and that includes ball attachment and the Drawtite around $100, with no attachments. Is the Hidden Hitch equal to the Drawtite in quality?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Both the Hidden Hitch Class I Receiver Hitch, # 60218, and the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch, # 24826, are quality products that would work for your 2009 Honda Fit.

Both hitches are rated at Class I and have the 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The towing capacity of both hitches is 2000 lbs and the tongue weight capacity for both is at 200 lbs. The Hidden Hitch and the Draw-Tite trailer hitches are made custom-fit to install into existing holes in your Honda' s frame. This design will allow you to install both hitches in an fast and easy manner.

Between the two hitches, I recommend going with the Hidden Hitch model for two reasons. First, this hitch includes a ball mount, pin,and clip. These would be extra items that you would have to purchase with the Draw-Tite hitch. Second would be the products price point. The Hidden Hitch model hitch is more economical hitch that includes extra parts that you might need for your Honda that the Draw-Tite hitch does not offer.

I have linked an installation video and a couple help articles on hitch installation for you to view.
