For a weight distribution system, the most important thing to consider is the total tongue weight which includes the trailer tongue weight when loaded, along with any weight behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. The tongue weight of a trailer should be between 10-15 percent of the gross towing weight. So with your max capacity 7000 lbs, we can take that percentage and guess the additional cargo weight behind the rear axle of your truck and we want that number to fall in the middle of a weight distribution system's tongue weight rating.
My recommendation for your application is the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW, # RP66074. This system helps stop trailer sway before it begins and is unique in that ability. It has dual cams that are paired with trunnion bars that have a hot rolled and tapered shape that keeps your trailer straight until you make a turn that requires them to overcome that cam. When that happens, the bars automatically readjust to control sway when your trailer comes back into line with the tow vehicle.
For this system you will also need the Reese Weight Dist Shank - 12-1/4" Long - 2" Drop to 6-1/2" Rise - 1,500 lbs TW, # RP54970 and a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like # 19286.
