Can 2016 Ram with Ram Box and Short Bed Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer
Question:
Is there a hitch that will fit this vehicle?

The problem with the Ram Box is that is that it puts the rails of the bed too close together and it causes interference with the pin box of the trailer around corners.
We have heard several customers say that with a Sidewinder pin box they were able to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a truck with a Ram Box. Sidewinders move the pivot point higher so the Ram Box wouldn't interfere.
You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
For a hitch you will need a stationary hitch like the Reese part # RP30047. Then for a rail kit you would need the # RP50054-58 which is a custom fit kit specifically for your 2016 Ram 2500.
