Dimensions of Heavy-Duty Truck Trailer Hitch Rated for 20,000 Pounds for 1980 Ford F-700
I have a 1980 Ford F700. Currently its in a base configuration 10foot frame railes behind the cab with a goose neck hitch attached to the frame. Im going to be fabricating an 8X10foot flat bed for it and along with that add a class v hitch to the back. Nothing fancy just a straight frame bolt on install. Do you know the full side to side outside width of the mounting brackets for your 20k class Vs? Id like to get one thats as close to fitting as possible. If I have to do some addional bracket fabrication so be it. Id just like to get in idea of what Im in for. Thank you

For a hitch that will tow 20,000 pounds or more on your 1980 Ford F-700 you're looking at three options. All three have a 3 inch reciver opening and include a ball mount with both a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, pin, and clip. They also are all weld-on hitches and not bolt on.
