Question:
I have a 2014 chevy impala limited. It has one bulb # 3057 for taillamp, turn signal and stoplamp. My glider trailer has the same # 3057 bulb. Why do I need # 119179 wiring harness ? Cant I just splice wire into cars tail light harness for my glider trailer ?

Expert Reply:
The problem is that your 2014 Chevy Impala Limited turn signal circuits do not have the amperage rating to handle the additional draw of your trailer tailights.
That's why you have to use a harness like the part # C59496 as it draws it's amperage from the vehicle battery.
