Recommended Parts For Dual Axle Trailer Complete Rebuild

I'm rebuilding a trailer and would like recommendations for dual 3500 lb axles. I need suspension from scratch and wheels/tires. I do want electric brakes and a strong trailer jack. This is for commercial landscaping use.

For your trailer rebuild, I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 89" - 3,500 lbs for your tandem axles, # 35545E-ST-EZ-89. You will also want the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles - 5-1/2" Long U-Bolts, # APUBR-1.

For suspension I suggest the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long, # SP-212275. You will then need a kit with mounts for your equalizers and shackle straps. The Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front/Rear, 2-1/2" Center, # APT3 will be a great choice. The mounts will be welded to your frame and then the equilizers and shackle straps are bolted with the included hardware.

For your trailer jack, I recommend the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack - Topwind - 15" Lift - 5,000 lbs, # BD155032 if you have an A-frame coupler along with the footplate # BD018564.

A good wheel/tire combination for you will be the Kenda Loadstar ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D, # AM3S862. These are durable wheels that have a max load capacity of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi.

If you have complete lighting needs, you will want something like the Optronics Waterproof, Over 80" Trailer Light Kit with 25' Wiring Harness, # TL16RK.

For wiring your brakes, you will want # 12-2-1 wire and I recommend a junction box with 7-way plug like # 277-000141.

I've attached a couple help articles to assist you in your rebuild.
