Camper Interior Light Conversion to LED

Question:

I have a pick-up camper with interior lights similar to your 30-76-123 and 30-76-223. I want to convert to LED lighting to save on power draw and heat build-up. Do you have an LED bulb replacement for this kind of light fixture? I hope to not have to change the whole light fixture to get LED lighting. Thanks for your help.

LED lighting will save you both power draw and heat build-up as you mentioned. There is a conversion bulb for Bargman light units like the # 30-76-123 or the # 30-76-223, so converting will require replacing the existing bulb with Starlights LED Wedge Base Lamp, # 277-000102. Each bulb will use 0.180 amps at a voltage range of 9-16V. This is a simple bulb replacement, remember that the bulb is polarity sensitive. If bulb fails to illuminate when first installed, rotate it 180 degrees and plug the bulb back in. These bulbs have a 60,000 hour life expectancy.

A more cost effective option would be to actually replace your current lights with complete LED units. If you choose to go this route, I'd suggest the Optronics LED RV Interior Light with Switch, # RVILL33, is the 9 diode style that draws 0.3amps at 12.8 volts. The Optronics LED RV Interior Light with Switch, # RVILL34 uses 18 diodes that draw 0.6 amps of power at 12.8 volts. It has a lifetime warranty on the LED's and 3-Year for the housing. I've attached a video of the removal and installation for you.
