Best Gooseneck Hitch for 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Thinking of buying gooseneck hitch for 16 GMC Sierra Crew short box 5ft 6 To be used around farm once in awhile. Some say cant put gooseneck in short box. Do you have a solution? Thanks

You can put a gooseneck hitch in a 5-1/2 foot bed truck. A gooseneck hitch that is compatible with your 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 is the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose Underbed # 9465-54. This hitch includes everything you'll need for installation and doesn't require any drilling to install the frame brackets. There's a review video of the hitch attached.

A way to get you more clearance is to use an offset ball. You will need one compatible with your hitch such as Offset Ball # 19308 to go with the Hide-A-Goose. This will give you an extra 5 inches of room between your trailer and the cab of your truck. I've attached a video review of the offset ball you can look at.
