Question:
My TV is a 2015 F50 2wd with a max tow rating go 11,900. I am towing a TT that has a GVWR of 9770 and a tongue weight of 970. I am using an Equalizer 12K hitch. There is quite a bit of rear sag in the truck. I have added Timbrens . They helped but did not resolve my issue. Front end very squirrelly. Fells like the tail is wagging the dog. No issues with sway. My question is regarding air bags. I was going to replace th Timbrens with air bags. I had a local company advise against it if I were using a load dist. Hitch with sway control. They recommended super springs. Suggestions? Thoughts ?

It sounds like your Equalizer isn't applying enough spring bar pressure. You are going to need to go through and set up the system properly. You will most likely need to adjust the angle of the head back from the vehicle further so that the bars will apply more tension and actually distribute the tongue weight and allow the sag to be taken care of.
Is your trailer setting level? Normally what you described is due to a trailer having the nose sitting up too high or not enough tongue weight.
Going with air bags would not help
