From the research I did the RBW X16 does fit the industry standard fifth wheel rails like what are in the picture I attached so all you need is a set of industry standard rails for your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed.

A custom install kit will be much easier to install so I would recommend the Curt custom kit part # C16420-204 as it will minimize drilling and install time when compare to a universal kit. I attached an install video for you to check out that shows these rails installed in a similar 2006 Ram as yours as well.

There is a Reese kit that will fit your truck as well like you asked about but it costs a bit more. For that you would want part # RP50140-58. Either kit would work just as well as the other. Install video attached for this kit also.
