Trailer Tire Recommendation for a 2015 Voltage 3805 Toy Hauler

I am looking to replace the tires on my triple axle 5th wheel toy hauler 2015 Voltage 3805 which has a fully loaded weight just shy of 20k lbs. It currently has E-Rated ST tires on it and I am getting mixed information on whether to stay with a ST tire vs going to an LT. Many RVers are choosing the Michelin XPS RIB over the ST tire. I like that the TTWPRG235R16 is G-Rated and has a higher speed rating as I know most ST tires are only rated to 65 MPH. We put over 10k miles per year on the trailer which makes the XPS Rib tires more advantageous because of their longer expected use time. I have been told that a ST tires has a max life of 5k-10k miles. Is that correct? Please advise and provide your recommendation. Thank you

ST rated trailer tires typically end up being too old before they are worn out. Typically around 5 years is when people need to replace them. The mileage for trailer tires is usually around 5-12,000 miles, but what usually get the tire is the age before wear.

Here is why an ST rated tire is better than an LT for trailer use:

"ST" tires feature materials and construction to meet the higher load requirements and demands of trailering.

The polyester cords are bigger than they would be for a comparable "P" or "LT" tire.

The steel cords have a larger diameter and greater tensile strength to meet the additional load requirements.

"ST" tire rubber compounds contain more chemicals to resist weather and ozone cracking.

For a replace tire for your 235/85R16 the Load Range G part # TTWPRG235R16 would be our best recommendation. This tire has a ton of capacity at 4,080 lbs at 110 psi and has a 75 mph speed rating.
