What Information Is Needed to Add Electric Brakes to a Pop Up Camper Trailer

I would like to install electric brakes on my pop up camper 1997 Starcraft Classic Series Starflyer 1021. My tow vehicle is already ready with a 7 pole set-up and I know the camper has a brake mounting flange. I also know it has a type of axle-less suspension system in place. My current wheels are a 4 on 4 inch pattern and are a 145R12 tire. My question is what do I need as far as drum and brake parts for the trailer? I am familiar with what Ill need to do electrically, so my question on relates to what I need for the mechanical end of the trailer.

In order to pick out the correct hub/drum assembly for a trailer you are going to need know a few key pieces of information. First is the bolt pattern which you already know being 4 on 4 inch for the wheels.

Next thing you will need to know is what spindle you have on your trailer. In order to do that you can either get the inner and outer bearing numbers from a hub or use a dial or digital caliper to get exact measurements of the spindle. The measurements needed are the parts of the spindle where the bearings ride.

If you get back to me with that information I will help you pick out the right hub/drum assemblies.

Once you have the correct hub/drum you can then pick out the correct brake assembly.

I also attached a help article that covers everything on adding electric brakes to a trailer for you to check out as well.
