Concern with Wear of Aluminum Ball Mount in Steel Hitch Receiver

Question:

In reference to the Weigh Safe hitch, is there any reason for concern where the aluminum hitch goes into the receiver, as far as being a wear point aluminum surrounded by steel?

You don't have to worry about wear of the aluminum shank on the Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount with Built-In Scale # WS10-25. Although the steel receiver tube material of your hitch is harder than aluminum, because the weigh safe is milled from solid billet aluminum - meaning it is free of microscopic stress fractures - it is extremely strong and will stand up just fine to use in your hitch.

If you care to lock the ball mount to your hitch you can use lock # e98881.
