Availability of 60 inch Long Trailer Axle for a Jon Boat

Is my jon boat trailer tweaked? Measures more like 49. In your opinion is it more than likely 48inch tweaked? Bought it used. Then discover bearing and axle damage. Could not of happened with just a 200 pound jon boat! So, the previous owner has abused it. Hence, the need of axle and hubs. HUB FACE = 60. Spring Center 48/49? LUGS = 5 on 4-1/4. Weight = 2,000 lbs +/- . Previous Round Axle Diameter was 2-1/4. Will that make any difference to the mounting u-bolts?

Trailer axles normally have a slight bow to them to help with the tire alignment when loaded. It would take quite a bit of force to flatten the axle out to give it an additional inch of length. Are you measuring right to the center of the hangers and not to the outsides?

It is also possible that your axle is just a bit longer. There are several different axle dimensions out there and yours doesn't necessarily have to match up with what we sell.

Does the axle seem like it's too long to allow the suspension to function properly? That would be a good indicator that you would need the 48 inch and not the 49 like what you measured.

The diameter of the # 20545I-ST-60-15 that you referenced is 1-3/4 inches though so you would need a new u-bolt kit # APUBR-10.

Worst case scenario you could order this axle and then have a welder move each of the spring seats out 1/2 inch.

Aside from that this axle would work since it matches all of the other dimensions you need.
