Recommended Spare Tire Bike Carrier For 2011 Jeep Wrangler With Bigger Tires
Question:
Hi I want to buy the spare tire bike rack for my jeep wrangler. But my spare tire on my jeep wrangler is 11X32. Is there a product that I can buy? I like the Yakima or the thule. Thank you

The Yakima SpareRide 2-Bike Carrier, part # Y02599 will work great on your Wrangler.
This carrier comes with three different length tongues and will work with tires up to 12-1/2 inches deep. This carrier also comes with a lock that secures the carrier to the wheel hub and a 63-1/4 inch locking cable that secures the bikes to the carrier. This carrier has a capacity of 35 lbs per bike. I have attached a link to an installation video for this carrier on a Jeep Wrangler you can check out.
If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.
